| Title | Assessing the degree of influence and role of business in European policy making: Evidence from Transatlantic Business Dialog |
| Summary | This paper’s core interest is to improve the understanding of how business interests can influence the making of EU policies and if there is the potential danger of an overly influential interest group. I will examine the question of how much and what kind of influence business groups actually exert at the EU level and what value they add to EU policy-making. I will particularly study the role that business plays by participating in the EU trade policy-making in the case of Transatlantic Business Dialog and assess the relation between decision-makers and business interest groups. |
