| Title | NORMS, STATE INTERESTS AND PARTY POLITICS: AN ANALYSIS OF SPANISH ASYLIUM AND IMMIGRATION POLICES IN THE EU CONTEXT |
| Summary | The thesis analyzes the opposition of the Spanish government to the establishment of migrant camps in North Africa within the framework of rational choice - social constructivist debate. As an important tool which helps complement and enrich the debate, I use assumptions and concepts of domesic politics. The results show that the Spanish government was guided in its response by pramatic state interests, and the human rights discourse whih was on the surface of the response was used in order to leitimize the former. |
