| Summary | This thesis looks at the factors that caused the conflict between Ingushetia and North Ossetia. It identifies four factors that were the underlying cause of the conflict: Soviet border policies and the deportations, the power struggle between Yeltsin and Gorbachev, the separation of the Chechen-Ingush Republic and the conflict between Georgia and South Ossetia. |
