| Title | Comparison of Independent State of Croatia and Yugoslav partisan propaganda directed towards peasantry during World War II |
| Summary | In the chaotic setting of World War II on the territory of Independent State of Croatia, the Ustashi and communist partisans fought many battles, one of them being for the hearts and minds of the Croatian peasantry. After the abolition of Kingdom of Yugoslavia, Croatian peasantry was left virtually without leadership and the Ustashi and partisans were using a variety of propaganda techniques to win them over. Both of the belligerents realized that the support of such a numerous group would be most helpful so they took the effort to address the peasantry in many placards, leaflets, booklets and other propaganda material. This work is meant to present the differences and similarities between the Ustashi and Yugoslav partisan printed propaganda directed at Croatian peasantry. |
