Title Should Religion Be Used in Politics? A Theoretical Discussion
Summary The debate on the separation of church and state continues to this day. The argument settles between two separate models: accommodationist versus separatist. The following research defines these two approaches and distinguishes which approach is more applicable. Additionally, models of the separation of church and state are defined and analyzed. Based upon the theoretical discussion, the research finds the separatist arguments more philosophically sound. Therefore, a normative model of the most convincing separatist will be defined in this research paper.
