Title | SPECTRUM POLICY AND THE PUBLIC INTEREST STANDARD IN THE UNITED STATES |
Summary | The public interest standard is often used as a foundation for policy-making in the communications arena in the United States, yet the definition of the concept is continually evolving. Through a historical review of its application in spectrum policy, and an analysis of the current policy debates concerning Network Neutrality and Spectrum Allocation, this paper will provide additional clarity to existing literature on how the public interest concept is developing in this new age of communications policy-making. |
