| Summary | This thesis focuses on determining and measuring the effects of the overall household situation and other socioeconomic factors on the individual decision to migrate for the case of Kosovo. As migration and development are not mutually exclusive, especially if the number of outflow migrant is high as in the case of Kosovo, it is important to understand the individual migration decision and try to use it as a mean of developing migration policies that may help in the economic development of the country. |
