Title Does the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) promote authoritarianism in Central Asia? A case study of Kyrgyzstan
Summary The thesis is addressed to explore whether the non-liberal organizations such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) promote authoritarianism. Central to the discussion is Kyrgyzstan, since, among all the SCO members only Kyrgyzstan is inclined to develop its democracy. Accordingly, the thesis highlights the fact that the only intention that can be perceived as an autocracy promotion had to be addressed with respect to the specific regime type.
