| Title | Hille-Yosida Theorem and some Applications |
| Summary | The main focus of this work is going to be the Hille-Yosida theorem, which is a very powerful tool in solving evolution partial diff erential equations. The material is organized as follows. Chapter 1 presents the background material needed for the treatment in the subsequent chapters. In Chapter 2, we present the Hille-Yosida Theorem and related results and off er detailed proofs. Finally, in Chapter 3, we investigate applications of the Hille-Yosida theorem to some real word phenomena. We prove existence, uniqueness and regularity of solutions of the Heat equation, the Wave equation, and the linearized equations of coupled sound and heat flow. |
