| Title | God is the Middle Term: Kierkegaard's View of Erotic Love |
| Summary | The topic of this thesis is Kierkegaard’s view of erotic love. Kierkegaard is concerned with proper love among believing Christians and I will restrict myself to that issue. The main questions of my thesis are: What, for Kierkegaard, is erotic love? What are its requirements? Is it achievable? What I am concerned is to understand whether and how, in Kierkegaard’s view, erotic love is compatible with Christian faith, and even more strongly, requires Christian faith. My final conclusion will be an optimistic one: erotic love is indeed a real possibility for human beings. |
