| Title | Remittances and Banking Sector Development in Kyrgyzstan |
| Summary | In my paper, I want to check and examine a hypothesis that inflows of remittances influence positively the banking sector development in my country. In order to explore the relationship between the remittances and banking sector development, I am planning to conduct a study on a household level in Kyrgyzstan. Sample of study is going to be based on the Kyrgyz Integrated Household Survey (KIHS). The sample size of KIHS is about 5,000 households, the largest sample in the Kyrgyz Republic. I am sure that the results of my study will be useful, because remittances inflows can be expected to potentially have large effects on the economy that receives remittances inflows. |
