| Title | Process tracing of the latin american debate movement |
| Summary | The aim of this thesis is to explore, examine and analyze the phenomenon of growth of the Latin American debate movement using a mixed methodology comprising process tracing and interviews. The thesis applies social movements theoretical concepts to the Latin American debate movement case study and the findings show how three contextual forces lead by cultural philanthropy, student activism and governmental actors were fundamental to the formation of the movement. This thesis argues that the Latin American debate movement is an innovative form of civic participation that influence public policy. |
