Summary Antinatalism is the philosophical position that it is immoral to bring new people into existence. It has been defended by various philosophers on various grounds; in this dissertation, I shall critically discuss and respond to some of these arguments, in particular those made by David Benatar in his 2006 book Better Never to Have Been: The Harm of Coming Into Existence.
