Title Development Prioritization of Shale Gas Industry Development Strategies Using a SWOT-AHP Analysis: A Case Study of China
Summary This research aims at providing in-depth analysis of China’s shale gas industry development and identifying strategic recommendations for future development. Through the research on Evaluation Index System of shale gas development, characteristics of China’s shale gas industry are to be identified. This research also attempts to have some inspirations for policy makers and researchers.
To make it clear, objectives are shown as these questions below:
What is the current situation of China’s shale gas industry development?
What are the key factors affecting China’s shale gas industry development?
What are the potential strategies to promote shale gas development in China?
This research is going to adopts both quantitative and qualitative methods to have a comprehensive understanding of China’s shale gas industry development. Theoretical and practical analysis will be applied based on data collected from literature review and survey. (See Table ) The analysis of shale gas development situation and factors affecting this development will be mostly based on literature review, while SWOT and AHP analysis will also be applied to build up the Evaluation Index System. A questionnaire survey will be conducted with experts from China University of Petroleum and Jinan University to obtain data for AHP analysis. After identifying the key factors and comparing the results, recommendations are to be provided for future development.
