| Title | Labor Experience of Soviet Children in the USSR and Germany during the Second World War |
| Summary | The present thesis Labor Experience of Soviet Children in the USSR and Germany during the Second World War is dedicated to the study of Soviet children from the Soviet Union who worked in the USSR and in Germany. The project seeks to explain how Soviet children experienced labor in both countries, what was the policy toward them and what were the differences in their experiences. Moreover, this thesis is going to show that both contexts should be considered while talking about Soviet children at war, as labor experience was a huge part of Soviet childhood and the Second World War in general. The first part of the research presents how children worked in the USSR, the government’s propaganda, motivation of them, and their personal representation of labor experience. In the second part, labor in Germany is presented, also including German’s propaganda and policy toward Soviet children. In the last part the post war experience is mentioned in order to show how children were re-integrated in the Soviet society after the end of the Second World War. |
