| Summary | This dissertation seeks to compare the regulation of regional languages in three European jurisdictions: Spain, France and the United Kingdom, with special emphasis in the case of the Irish Language Act in Northern Ireland. All three countries are multilingual States, but each of them adopts a different approach when it comes to regulation, recognition, promotion and/or protection of their regional languages. |
