| Title | The Intellectual Analysis of Azerbaijani National Project in the Late Nineteenth and Early Twentieth Century |
| Summary | The present thesis discusses the debates of intellectuals regarding political and ideological tenets of Azerbaijani nationalism in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. I will present the evolution of Muslim intelligentsia in South Caucasus from mid-nineteenth till to the early twentieth century which corresponds to the time, the early ideas of the Azerbaijani national project started to develop. In this context, I will examine the roles of two intellectuals who committed themselves to the affairs of their native region and across. Ultimately, this will enable us to unravel their contributions and prospects regarding the Azerbaijani national project which will shed a light to the perspectives of intellectual history. |
