| Title | Data driven production optimization at EGIS Pharmaceuticals |
| Summary | As Egis Pharmaceuticals is embarking on its digital transformation journey, supports and sponsors every project which uses disruptive technologies and it is based on data driven solutions. The production optimization of Rosuvastatin project met all these requirements the project was launched under agile methodologies using scrum framework. The goal of the project was to define the factors that influence the production output ratio of the product and based on the gained insights the team should provide suggestions on the production process and increase the output ratio. The project lasted 4 sprints and with the help of machine learning algorithms the agile team was not able to clearly identify those parameters which cause the drop of production output, but was able to acquire new knowledge and with the help of machine learning algorithm could make suggestion on the production process which can potentially increase the output ratio of Rosuvastatin. The suggestions were accepted and implemented and based on preliminary results the implemented changes are working and producing profit for the company. |
