Title | Factors that Influence Sustainable Food Consumption in Urban Environments in India |
Summary | Food production to consumption has the largest carbon footprint. Therefore, it is necessary to gain sustainability in case of food consumption. In India, there is no policy regarding sustainable food consumption, as well as the concept of sustainable food is quite new to the country. In that light, how sustainable food consumption is influenced by various internal and external factors has been explored in this research paper. To understand the concept, the research defined sustainable food in different point of views and include some aspects which were not explored previously. Lastly, to understand, if policy has any role to play in this sustainable food consumption or influencing people. The study has been done in a metropolitan city, to maximize cultural, economic and social diversities.
