Title | Analysis of Vehicle Emissions Between 2000 and 2022 with Python |
Summary | This research examines carbon dioxide emissions contributing to global warming and their impact on the automotive industry. Using data from vehicles produced between 2000 and 2022, factors such as vehicle class, manufacturer, engine displacement, and fuel consumption were analyzed. Findings indicate that larger and heavier vehicles, luxury and performance-oriented brands, and larger engines generally have higher emissions. The introduction of Euro 5 standards in 2009 encouraged the adoption of cleaner technologies, though economic fluctuations, the 2014 diesel scandal, and pandemics caused variations in emissions. The study underscores the importance of the automotive industry's efforts to reduce emissions over the next 20 years under the Green Deal and suggests further exploration of sustainable energy options. Additionally, it highlights the need for comprehensive research on other major manufacturers to ensure a transparent understanding of emissions practices across the industry. |
