| Summary | This dissertation is an examination of the idea of egalitarian social relations in contemporary political philosophy. It devises a comprehensive argument on the nature of these social relations, their moral significance, and the justification of entitlements to enjoying such relations of equality. By that, this thesis contributes to the positive project in relational egalitarian theory, addressing some of the hitherto neglected foundational questions in social egalitarian thought. |
