Title The democratic theory application of political and developmental approaches to democratization process of Georgia (1992-2008)
Summary Promotion of democracy in authoritarian and totalitarian states is one of the major challenges to western democracy promoters. After the fall of the Soviet Union this aid providers United States and European Union focused on Post-Soviet space. Their aim was to help those new independent states in complicated process of transition and bring them closer to western society in general. In case of Post-Soviet Georgia, main promoters and facilitators of democracy facilitators were, are and will probably stay United States and Europe. Their assistance through different organizations like Open society foundation, National Democratic Institute was and is very important to ongoing transition of Georgia.
