Title Organizational Impacts of an ERP System Migration
Summary This project investigates the transition of a public utility provider from an outdated ERP system to a more flexible and cost-efficient solution. The project applies a mixed-methods approach with a qualitative emphasis, drawing on academic literature, internal documents, employee surveys, and interviews. The research evaluates the migration's organizational, operational, and financial implications using three complementary frameworks: the Balanced Scorecard, Shang and Seddon’s ERP Benefits Framework, and the DeLone and McLean IS Success Model. The findings reveal early gains in cost savings, workflow efficiency, and IT infrastructure, as well as employee engagement with the new system. While challenges such as training gaps and system delays remain, the study concludes that the ERP transition supports long-term digital transformation and improved organizational performance.
